DESIGN![]() I use a consultative approach to plan and develop learning experiences. I collaborate with stakeholders to identify desired outcomes. I use a backward design process to ensure each learning experience provides multiple opportunities for learners to achieve identified outcomes. I consider the needs of learners at all times, and I curate and filter content to present intriguing and engaging content to learners. I use data to evaluate the effectiveness of learning content and the quality of learner performance.

TEACH![]() I’ve facilitated instruction for thousands of adult learners in a variety of technology, business, and education courses delivered in the face-to-face, blended, online, and accelerated learning environments. Along the way, I developed a specific interest in learning design, earned certification to facilitate e-learning, and completed a doctorate focusing on Career and Technical Education that prepared me to shape educational systems through applied research, strategic planning, and mindful leadership.

LEARN![]() I help stakeholders (employers, accrediting agencies, community) learn how colleges prepare students for work, and I help faculty and managers learn what knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) employers require for workers they wish to hire. Through a formal process, KSAs for specific jobs are identified. I lead the effort to define work tasks from the identified KSAs, and then I develop learning outcomes that become the blueprint for a sequence of courses used to create or revise a program of study.
