About Me

An accidental educator, I began my career as a technology professional. Developing code and troubleshooting software systems, I cultivated problem-solving and technical skills that I continue to use in higher education as a designer, educator, and mentor. My professional path to adult learning was launched with an invitation to teach information technology as an adjunct college instructor.
What I Do
Through the years, I’ve facilitated instruction for nearly 1,000 adult learners in more than 25 different technology, business, and education courses delivered in the face-to-face, blended, online, and accelerated learning environments. Along the way, I developed a specific interest in learning design, earned certification to facilitate e-learning, and completed a doctorate focusing on career and technical education that prepared me to shape educational systems through applied research, strategic planning, and mindful leadership.
